Does anybody know if this years t-shirts will run the same size as lasts years? and if so when can we buy them online?....oh and if they made this years design light reflective so we could wear them at night that would be cool too.....see you guys on race day.

hi roadrunner
i dont know about sizes, but last year many poeple did not get their t shirts.... me included..
it was only through another runner in nike + community that i got theirs cos they got sent 2...
so just enjoy the running experience and if t shirt available then its a bonus

I ran the 2008 Human Race in Toronto with the Nike Runner's Lounge...they were giving the shirts out there for free. I can't really comment on sizes...I'm always a men's small no matter what. But I would like to know if we will be able to order them this year online or not.

Guys....if nike is smart enough to keep things consistent we will be able to order our shirts off line because thats how i got mines. and fyi if you fit into the 5'6" 145 pound range shot for a med because my 2008 shirt is a size small and its perfectly fine for when i run but too small to wear around as a shirt-shirt.

Hi everyone,
There are a few different questions raised here. Let's try to answer as many as we can. Note that more information about the Nike+ Human Race is being released each day, and that some details haven't been completely worked out yet. I apologize for not having all the answers . . . yet!
This year's shirts should run similar to last year's shirts in terms of size. As roadrunner03 so eloquently notes, you'll want to take into consideration whether you plan to wear the shirt for training and running (in which case you would want a snug fit) or if you plan to wear it as a "shirt shirt" (in which case you might like a little bit more room).
Side note: if you're in the States, as most of you are, I recommend that any time you make a NikeStore.com purchase, you make sure you're logged into your NikeStore account. One of the member benefits is free return shipping. If you buy something that turns out to be not quite the right fit, you can put the enclosed return shipping label on the box and send it right back to us! Easy.
As you may recall from last year, there were several different shirts available through several different channels. There was a race-day shirt that you could purchase online; the same shirts were also distributed in city event race packs as well as at selected retail location race-day events. There were also commemorative shirts sent out after the event to users in certain regions. This year, too, you're likely to see more than one shirt available through more than one channel. Keep an eye on the NikeStore.com site for those details in the coming days.
Right now, there's a Human Race '09 shirt you can check out: http://store.nike.com/index.jsp?country=US&lang_locale=en_US#l=shop,search,searchList-human. This appears to be a commemorative shirt rather than an official race-day shirt.
( If you're following any of the Nike+ Human Race Ambassadors on Twitter, Facebook, etc., you'll note that they're handing out some schwag, too!)
buzylizy2, I'm sorry to hear that you never got your shirt. Through what channel were you supposed to receive the shirt? If you ordered one from NikeStore.com and didn't receive it, you'll want to contact Consumer Services with the order details and let them know your order never arrived. If you were due a freebie, you'll want to contact the person or organization who e-mailed you to notify you that you would receive a shirt. Because there were a variety of region-specific promotions without any centralized oversight, I'm unfortunately not able to track who was promised which schwag by whom.
Can you tell me a little bit about whether the shirt was an official race shirt or a commemorative shirt, and who indicated that you would be receiving a shirt? And can you let me know whether the offer arrived before or after the race? Was it a freebie, or did you pay for it and not receive it? As a first-of-its-kind event, I know that last year's Human Race did involve a few areas of opportunity for us to improve. I want to make sure that if we dropped a ball somewhere, we make sure it doesn't happen again.
I'm glad everyone's starting to get stoked for this year's event! And I'm hoping we'll soon have even more shirts to help you advertise your excitement to the rest of the world.

thanks a lot for the info...if you could keep us posted on when the race day shirts will be available (maybe shoot me a PM!) because i would like to score a lower ID number on my shirt (yes i know lame)since i cant drive to any of the location this year.

There will be a few shirts this year, as the Nike Pro mentioned, and there is also a Limited Edition Race Day shirt available only from Ambassadors! I think the Human Race T-shirt is based on US measurements. Could you help to provide the US measurements for the various S, M, L to help us Asians in selecting the correct size? I tried going into the US registration sites but no measurements were provided.

Thanks for asking about Nike+ Human Race shirts for this year's event.
At this point, there are no plans to sell the race-day tee on NikeStore.com in the U.S. or in other regions.
Like last year, the race-day shirt will serve as a race bib in the official city events. At this point, we don't yet have the details about how these shirts will be distributed to the various city event participants prior to the race, but I am hoping to have more information about that soon. Once those details are ironed out and made public, you should be able to locate the specifics in the FAQ tab for the race-day city where you'll be running.
Because these details are likely to be region-specific, you may want to direct non-U.S. inquiries to your region's Nike+ Consumer Services team as race day gets closer. You can find out your region's contact information by visiting nikeplus.com, choosing your region or country with the Country Selector in the lower left-hand corner, and clicking the "Customer Service" link.
Keep the great questions coming, and keep checking back! As this thread demonstrates, it can take a few days (or sometimes weeks) to track down answers, but I'm doing my best to make sure you have all the info you need to be all set for the 2009 Nike+ Human Race by the time race day comes around.
