WEEKDAY WARRIORS – TEAM CHALLENGE
I have not hosted a forum-based challenge before, so here goes!
This will be a weekday challenge (M-F) – 5 runners per team. It will consist of different challenges each week, which can speed-based or most miles, such as:
· Speed medley – choose which runner for each of 1k, 5k, 5-mile, 15k, & half-marathon
· Daily distance – choose a runner for each day (M-F) most cumulative team miles
· Speed multiples – cumulative team time for distance run by each member (1k, 5k, or possibly 5-mile)
· Total team miles – cumulative team miles for a week (M-F)
Each team will receive 1 ‘grace week’ – allowing them to remain in the challenge if they finish in last place for the week. The second time a team finishes last for a week – they are eliminated. I will try to spilt the teams evenly, to make it an even, competitive challenge
In order to participate you MUST:
-Be able to run at least 5k
-Communicate/cooperate with teammates
-Have a public profile
-Have FUN!

WEEK 4 RESULTS:
Methodology ~ due to illness & other reasons, several replacements were requested/needed ... to many to be fully staffed. As a result, the 6 teams that were lacking a runner were given a 5th time equal to 35 minutes ... 1 minute greater then the slowest 5k posted. This protects the 3 teams that did log all 5 runners. The race for 1st was so tight that I had to include decimals, as the average time was less then a 1 second difference!!! (ave time of actual runners, excluding 35min ghost runner in parentheses)

Upcoming: WEEK 6 - Z-multiplier effect:
Runners will have all week (M-F) to choose 1 of 4 events
-Fastest 1-mile
-Fastest 10K
-Most miles for the week
-Longest UN-PAUSED workout
Runners will be ranked 1-? In each event (? Based on how many people choose each event). The place of each of the 5 team members will be multiplied for the team total … lowest points wins.
Example – Team X
Runner 1 – 1st in 1-mile
Runner 2 – 5th in 10K
Runner 3 – 8th in 10k
Runner 4 – 3rd in most miles
Runner 5 – 10th in longest
Team Total 1 * 5 * 8 * 3 * 10 = 1,200 points
Notes:
-Once the roster is set & invites are out, nobody can change events
-A team can have 0-5 runners in each event
-You may want to talk about your event choice outside of the team trash talk, as there would be a big advantage if you know who is running what for the other teams.

So kind you are - even to me
If more people don't sign up soon, I might need to get angry .... we know what that means I already threatened members of a certain relay team that they might get kicked off the team....& might have to join bust-a-gut

I think your team are out there running scared! The forums are quiet most days of late and are we thinking that the colour change may get a few more through the door? LOL That red is such a scary colour.
