Wrong date on run

I used my nike+ for the 2nd time today, and for some reason my run is being reported as being on Jan 2, 2003. The time and date settings on my nano are correct, and the short run I did right after calibrating it on Tuesday shows up correctly... Any idea what I might have done wrong this time? Is there any way to correct the recorded time? I'm not all that concerned about this single case, but I'm hoping to use this to keep a record of my running, and I'd hate to have this come up repeatedly.

This same issue has happened to me however I am extremely concerned as I ran the Nike+ Women's Half Marathon remotely using the Nike+ system. My results being logged on the wrong date may disqualify me from being reflected as finisher in the Half!!! My run today on Oct 21st should have been logged for today's date, but instead it has been logged as Jan 14 2003! I had successfully synced 3 other runs in September that were appropriately saved with the correct date. So, I am completely speachless why this would happen this time.
Anyone who can help me change my run to the appropriate date would be my saviou - today!!!!!

I've experienced the same thing. Three of my last few runs have been logged on the wrong date, even after I made sure, and changed the date setting on my iPod to the correct time/date. I'm taking part in a challenge right now with a friend of mine, and because of this error, those three runs are missing from the competition, espcially my latest, and longest run I've ever ran in my life. So its kinda disapointing. If any one can figure out why this keeps happening, or finds out why this happens,I'd greatly appriciate hearing from you.

Hi there,
I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing date-stamp issues. This can be really frustrating when a Challenge victory is on the line!
First off, HalfDiva, I'd like to encourage you to contact us directly so that we can make sure you're recognized as a Nike+ Women's Half Marathon finisher. We'll need to gather a few key pieces of information in order to send you your shirt and keychain, and we'll want to try to determine the reason for your incorrect date stamp on your run. Please give us a call! We're here from 7 a.m.-3:50 p.m. PT Monday-Friday, and we're available at 1-800-379-6453. We'd love to help!
For any of you experiencing this type of glitch, we would definitely like to know about it. If you have an incorrect date stamp, please PM me the date, time, and duration of your actual run, as well as the date, time, and duration recorded by your iPod nano. We'll also need to know your e-mail address and your username.
Thanks for helping us out with this!
Cheers,
Clover

I am also experiencing the problem of my Nike+ recording the wrong date. It seems to have started happening around October 3 as this is the last workout that recorded accurately. The date and time on my iPod clock and computer clock are correct, but the dates recorded in my iPod by Nike+ are not correct. I can not make any sense of the time of day recorded as I usually run in the evenings with the exception of Saturday when I train at about 7am.
Here is the information:
(Correct Date--Wrong Date & time-- Workout Stats) 10/07/07-- 01/01/2000 2:07am-- 9.11mi, time 3:19:24, pace 21:53, calories 1061 10/10/07-- 01/04/2000 8:56 am-- 3:20 mi, time 53:30, pace 16:41, calories 373 10/12/07-- 01/06/2000 9:12 pm--11.92 mi, time 3:42:50, pace 18:41, calories 1389 10/16/07-- 01/10/2000 5:35 am-- 2.41 mi, time 2:21:56, pace 58:47, calories 281 10/19/07-- 01/13/2000 9:31 pm-- 10.70 mi, time 3:19:32, pace 18:38, calories 1247 10/25/07-- 01/19/200010:51 am-- 3.10mi, time 59:47, pace 19:16, calories 361 10/27/07-- 01/21/2000 9:01 am--5.09mi, time 1:38:57, pace 19:24, calories 594
Please let me know how to fix the problem. It almost looks like the Nike+ web site was hacked or has some sort of virus as I know many more people are experiencing the same thing.
Sincerely,
Lisa Olson

I've been having date issues too. I have a 2nd Gen Nano and for some reason occasionally the date of the runs are off by a day. For example tonight the run showed up as having run it tomorrow in the Nike Training Log (the old Nike running site). I wish I could go in and move the run to the correct day. I also had the infamous Paula congratulating me on another 500km a couple of times. Boy this thing is really buggy all of a sudden.

Hi everyone,
I'm sorry to hear that so many of you are dealing with date-stamp issues on your runs, and I'd like to get the issue resolved.
This is definitely something we're able to fix, and we'd like to do so! We're best able to resolve these issues if you contact us directly and provide us with the following information:
1. The incorrect information (date and time) along with the correct date and time information for each run affected; 2. Your name and the e-mail address you use to access Nike+; 3. A few details about when you began experiencing the problem (i.e., after allowing your battery to drain, when connecting new hardware or downloading new software, etc.) and whether the problem appears to be corrected on subsequent runs.
Also, please let us know if you're in Challenges that are ending soon, etc.
As I mentioned, it's best if you contact us directly. You can reach me by PM within the Nike+ site; you can also e-mail us at nikeplus@nike.com or call us at 1-800-379-6453 from 7 a.m.-3:50 p.m. PDT Monday-Friday.
Lisa, please shoot me a PM with your e-mail address so that I can get your data corrected. Thanks!
Cheers,
Clover

Hi sandieman,
Thanks for letting us know you have a workout with the wrong date stamp on it. It's definitely tough to win Challenges when your runs are all being recorded as having been run in 2003, before Nike+ even existed!
Since you've asked why this is happening, I'll let you know the most common reasons; based on what you've written, I'm unable to tell you which one applies to your particular situation.
You'll often see an incorrect date stamp on the first run or runs you record with a brand-new iPod nano. This date reflects the manufacturing date of your iPod nano. Once you've synced your iPod nano with your computer, it will take your computer's date stamp. (Obviously, it's a good idea to make sure that your computer is set to the correct date and time.)
You may also see an incorrect date stamp when you let the battery drain completely on your iPod nano. This is because when it loses all power, the date and time settings revert to the factory settings until it is synced again and recharged. For this reason, we recommend that you always keep at least a partial charge on your iPod nano's battery if you can. Doing so will ensure that your date stamps on your run data are correct.
In the event of an incorrect date stamp, though, we can definitely fix it for you! You did exactly the right thing by sending us a message. During our normal workweek, we're usually able to address these issues within 24-48 hours. During weekends and holidays, it can take a little bit longer. It's something we're more than happy to do, though, if you just contact us with your name, your e-mail address, the distance of the run, the incorrect date, and the correct date. If you have multiple runs with incorrect date codes, please make sure you send us the corresponding correct date for each one, and make sure you include the incorrect and correct year! This will help us process the changes as quickly as possible.
Cheers,
Clover

I HAVE JUST LOGGED 2 RUNS THAT HAVE THE WRONG DATE ON THEM - TIME APPEARS TO BE CORRECT!! ONE SAYS 6/1/00 SHOULD BE 6/1/08 THE OTHER SAYS 8/1/00 SHOULD BE 8/1/08. IF THIS CAN BE CORRECTED I WOULD APPRECIATE THIS. ALSO, HOW WILL I KNOW IF THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN AGAIN?? I AM DUE TO DO ANOTHER RUN TOMORROW AND DON'T REALLY WANT TO HAVE TO KEEP GOING THRU THIS PROCESS - EVEN IF IT IS RELATIVELY SIMPLE. I HAVE CHECKED THE DATE & TIME ON IPOD NANO IS CORRECT. I AM ALSO WANTING TO START A CHALLENGE A COLLEAGUE HAS SET UP FOR THE 2 OF US BUT IT HAS NOT APPEARED IN 'MY CHALLENGES'. I HAVE HAD THE EMAIL INVITING ME BUT WHEN I LOG ON - NOTHING.....ANY SUGGESTIONS OR CAN YOU FIX THIS ALSO?? MANY THANKS DAWN

Hi SlimGi,
Please send me a PM with your name, the e-mail address you use to log your runs, and the distance, incorrect date, and corresponding correct date of each run for which you need the date stamp changed. This way, I can make sure all the necessary information is sent to our IT team. Typically, it takes them around 24-48 hours to resolve the issue.
To send me a PM, just click on "Nike Pro 16" and select "Message This User."
I hope to hear from you soon!
Cheers,
Clover

My husband and I are experiencing the same issue. Our March runs are showing up as April runs. Also, my runs from the past couple days are not being recorded in the history on my nano. Date and time are correct on our ipods. Help! We're falling behind in our challenges!
